ASOS Return without Account (All You Need to Know)

ASOS Return without Account

Sometimes, when you make a purchase at ASOS, it’s just not for you, and you want to return it. If you don’t have an account, can you still return ASOS products? Here’s everything you need to know about making a return without an ASOS account.

To make a return without an ASOS account, just bring your item—unworn and unaltered—back to the returns department of any ASOS store. They will happily process any refund of a product up to 28 days after purchase.

There are a number of conditions that must be met to return an item, and it’s always good to know what your options are for getting your money back.

The rest of this article will walk you through making an ASOS return without an account.

What Is the Best Way to Make an ASOS Return without an Account?

Making a return is generally a pretty straightforward process at ASOS, even when it means you want to return your product for a full refund.

In order to do so, you’ll need to return the item within 28 days of delivery or collection. ASOS will not accept returns after this time window has closed.

You also can’t return certain products after they have been used for hygiene reasons. This includes the following:

  • Face and body products
  • Underwear
  • Swimwear
  • Face coverings
  • Pierced jewelry

In these cases, if the hygiene seal has been broken or if the seal protecting the item has been removed, ASOS will not accept your returns.

Naturally, you can try on any item just like you would in a shop, but anything further than that will void your chance to return it.

Similarly, if the clothing shows any signs of misuse, has been altered, or is damaged in any way, then ASOS will not be able to process your refund.

ASOS also reserves the right to refuse refunds in certain circumstances where they suspect foul play under fair use laws.

These scenarios include, but are not limited to:

  • Attempts to wear clothes for longer periods and then return them
  • Ordering and returning a massive quantity of items
  • Items that don’t match what was ordered.

If you have an ASOS account, it may be suspended if ASOS suspects any of these to be the case. Of course, if you believe an error was made, you can contact ASOS Customer Care to help you out.

The bottom line is that if the item you want to return has been used, damaged, or kept for too long, then you won’t be able to return it.

Returning Items with an Account

While you can always feel free to return your items directly without needing to get an ASOS account, it’s often much easier to process returns through your ASOS account, and, if you purchase ASOS items often, then it might be worth signing up anyway.

To get started, log in or sign up for an ASOS account and visit the My Orders page. Click Create Return on the order you want to send back.

In that order, you’ll need to pick the items you want to return and the reason for the return. Next, find your nearest drop-off point and select Place Return. ASOS partners with the following locations for drop-off:

  • EVRi
  • Royal Mail Post Office
  • ASDA
  • InPost Instant Returns Locker

You’ll be given a QR code by email that you can also view on your My Returns page. Once done, place your return in a single parcel with the packaging of your choice.

Just remember, the package is your responsibility until it reaches ASOS, so make sure there’s no way it can be damaged.

Once you’re all set to go, take your parcel to the nearest drop off point and let them know you’re putting in a return.

They’ll ask you to scan the QR code, and you’ll be able to use the tracking number provided to track the progress of your parcel in the mail.

After the return has arrived to ASOS, they should process your refund within 10 days of delivery, although it may take up to 2 weeks.

Keep in mind that if you pay using Pay Later in 3 with Klarna or Paypal Pay in, it may take an additional 5 days to process your refund. You will receive a refund through the medium you used to pay assuming that the items are still in good condition.

ASOS will inspect items for damage, use, or tampering, so make sure you keep the products you want to return in good condition since they are your responsibility to return safely.

If ASOS determines that the items are not eligible for a return, they will be shipped back to you, and you will be obligated to pay the shipping cost.

ASOS holds sole discretion when determining items eligible for a return and refund.

Paying with Clearpay

If you’ve paid using Clearpay and are eligible for a refund, then the amount of your refund will go into the value of any remaining items you’ve purchased.

For example, if you had a £100 order and got a refund on one £15 item, then the rest of your installments would tally up to £85 to reflect the £15 refund you got.

If you’ve already paid over the amount of the total order, then you’ll get a refund from Clearpay within 10 working days for the difference.

Does ASOS Offer Exchanges?

ASOS used to do exchanges in the past, but they are unfortunately no longer offering exchanges for their UK customers.

Final Thoughts

Returning products is never a fun experience, but if something doesn’t work for you, then it’s often best to send it back.

There are a number of ways you can return ASOS products, but it’s fair to say that the easiest method is simply creating an account and following their online steps to complete your return.

Doing so is dead simple, and Customer Care is there for you every step of the way if you need help.
