How to make a return or exchange

You can always return items in-store, but they will only accept items already purchased online through that same method. So, you can’t buy an item in-store and return it online.

Here is how to make a return with both methods.

Online

You have two options if you choose to return an item online. You can return the item through the American Eagle website or the American Eagle app. Just use whichever platform you are most comfortable with!

If you’re returning an item through the website, you’ll need to go to the Order Details page. Simply enter your order number and email address to find the right items. Then, select the items you want to return.

If your items qualify, American Eagle will pay for the shipping cost to return them. They recommend that you try to use the same shipping material you received the items in, but this isn’t required.

Then just attach the prepaid label and take the package to Canada Post!

American Eagle will still accept an item that isn’t eligible for return. You just won’t receive any money back for the purchase, and you will have to pay the shipping costs.
