What Payment Methods Does Klarna Accept?
With the exception of prepaid cards, Klarna accepts a variety of payment methods to pay for your installments.
The good news is most people will likely have access to one or more of these payment methods.

Bank Account
The most assured way to pay off your Klarna installments is to link your bank account. Doing so ensures that payments will go out of your account as scheduled, and without fail.

Debit Cards

Not only that, but you have the option to stop or postpone payments from coming out if you lose your card.

Google Pay Or Other Mobile Wallets
Don’t have an Apple device? Unfortunately, Android phone owners aren’t as integrated with Klarna yet as Apple users.
Although you cannot use Google Pay or other mobile wallets on the Klarna website and app, you can use them to pay for purchases in some stores.
Keep in mind that not all brick-and-mortar businesses accept Google Pay through Klarna. Only a few retailers in the US have this capability, unlike Apple Pay which is compatible with all stores.

Is There a Way To Use Prepaid Cards With Klarna?
Even though you can’t use prepaid cards directly with Klarna, there’s a workaround you can try. This isn’t guaranteed to work so your results may vary.
Because you can use Apple Pay as a payment method within the Klarna App, that means you have the option of using any card within your mobile wallet. In other words, you can add a prepaid card and select that from Apple Pay during checkout.
Of course, this method depends on Apple accepting your prepaid card within the wallet. If it can be added, then you have a better chance of getting a prepaid card to work with Klarna.
If not, you might have to try with another prepaid card, if you have another one.
And even if Apple Pay does manage to store your prepaid card in your mobile wallet, there’s no guarantee that Klarna themselves won’t decline the purchase.
Financial institutions have ways of detecting whether a card number is from a prepaid card or not, so your results will vary.
